Priority Drop Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
Priority Drop is a Shopify app that lets shoppers pay a store for priority access to a sold-out product's restock, reserves restocked units for them and refunds them automatically if the restock doesn't reach them in time. Priority Drop is operated by Burak Sadıkoğlu, an individual developer in Türkiye, under the Deskano brand ("we"). This policy explains what data Priority Drop processes, why, and how long we keep it.
Who is responsible
For shoppers' data, the Shopify merchant who installs Priority Drop is the data controller and we process the data on their behalf. For merchants' own account data, we are the controller. Contact: destek@deskano.app.
Data we process
About merchants
- Store domain, currency and plan, received from Shopify, and the access token Shopify issues.
- The products the merchant turns priority access on for, the fee and the merchant's settings.
About shoppers
- For each priority pass bought: the Shopify order and line item IDs, the order number, the Shopify customer ID, the variant waited for, the amount paid and the pass status (waiting, reserved, purchased, refunded). We do not store names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses.
- Daily counts of how often the priority offer was shown and clicked on each product. These counts contain no shopper identifiers.
Priority Drop does not handle payments. Shoppers pay the store through Shopify's checkout, and refunds are made through Shopify to the original payment method. When a unit is restocked, Priority Drop asks Shopify to create a draft order for the pass holder and Shopify emails them the invoice from the store; we never see or store the email address.
Why we use it
- To keep the priority queue in the order passes were paid.
- To reserve restocked units for pass holders and let Shopify notify them.
- To refund passes automatically when the restock doesn't reach the holder in time.
- To show the merchant fee income and demand, and to count passes for the merchant's plan.
We do not sell data, use it for advertising, build profiles of shoppers or share data between stores.
Service providers
- Hetzner Online hosts Priority Drop on servers in Finland (EU).
- Shopify provides the store, product, inventory and order data, processes payments, refunds and invoice emails, and bills merchants for their plan.
How long we keep data
- Pass records are kept while the app is installed, so the merchant can see their history.
- When a merchant uninstalls Priority Drop, the offer stops right away. Shopify notifies us 48 hours later and we then delete all of that store's data.
- When a merchant forwards a customer's deletion request through Shopify, we remove the customer ID and order number from that customer's passes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Shoppers should contact the store they shopped at, since the store controls their data; we help the store respond. You can also write to us at destek@deskano.app.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest: Priority Drop's database is stored on an encrypted volume (LUKS2, AES-256). The service runs in isolated containers with restricted permissions, and server access is limited to the operator.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
